With this excel sheet we can estimate the cost price of hatching eggs and day old chicks, and especially what the price fluctuations of for instance feed mean for these cost prices.

The program is based on general costs and performances of breeder flocks, but of course they will differ between integrations and area's, which means they need to be adjusted to the local situation.

The program is based on calculations per hen housed at 20 weeks, and all the costs (for instance feed costs for males) are included in the costs per female.

It consists of feed costs in rearing and production (males and females combined), operational costs (like housing, vaccination, day old breeders, labor, energy etc) per hen housed, and incubation costs per egg set (not per chick hatched, as many costs are independent from the hatchability).
